Conditions We Treat

Care for the Pain That's Holding You Back

From a stiff neck to a disc injury to an ankle that never fully recovered - these are the problems we evaluate and manage every day at Remedy in Mission Viejo.

Start With an Accurate Diagnosis

Pain is a signal, not a diagnosis. Two people with identical low-back pain can have entirely different causes - one a joint that has stopped moving properly, another a disc under pressure, a third a hip that never regained strength after an old injury. Treating all three the same way is why so much care fails to hold.

Dr. Nario begins with a history and a hands-on movement exam: what you feel, when it started, what makes it worse, and how your body actually moves under load. That assessment determines the plan. Some conditions respond quickly to adjustment and soft-tissue work. Others need a longer runway of corrective exercise. A few need imaging or referral, and we will tell you plainly when that is the case.

Conditions We Commonly Manage

Explore the conditions below for a fuller explanation of causes, symptoms and how care typically progresses.

Spine

Low-Back Pain

The most common reason people come to see us. Causes range from joint restriction and muscular guarding to disc irritation and weak deep core support.

Spine

Neck Pain & Stiffness

Limited rotation, morning stiffness and that band of tension across the shoulders - often driven by posture, workstation setup or an old injury.

Nerve

Sciatica & Radiating Symptoms

Pain, numbness or tingling travelling into the arm or leg. Nerve symptoms need a careful exam to find where the irritation actually originates.

Spine

Disc-Related Pain

Disc irritation, bulges and degenerative change can produce pain that shifts with position - worse sitting, better walking, or the reverse.

Head & Neck

Headaches Linked to Neck Dysfunction

Many recurring headaches begin in the upper neck. When that is the driver, treating the neck often changes the headache pattern.

Injury

Whiplash & Auto-Accident Injury

Collision injuries frequently surface days later. Early evaluation matters for both your recovery and the documentation of your injuries.

Sprains, strains, tendon irritation and overuse injuries in athletes and weekend warriors - treated with an eye on why it happened.

Extremity

Shoulder, Hip, Knee & Foot Pain

Chiropractic care is not only spinal. Extremity joints respond well to adjustment, soft-tissue work and targeted loading.

Symptoms Worth Getting Looked At

You do not need to be in severe pain to benefit from an evaluation. These are the complaints we see most often - and the ones most likely to worsen if they are ignored.

  • Low-back, mid-back or neck pain and stiffness
  • Pain that travels into an arm or leg
  • Numbness, tingling or weakness in a limb
  • Recurring headaches that start at the base of the skull
  • Shoulder, elbow, hip, knee, ankle or foot pain
  • Sprains, strains and overuse injuries
  • Reduced range of motion or a joint that feels stuck
  • Stiffness that is worst in the morning or after sitting
  • Pain that returns every time you train or lift
  • Discomfort that started after an accident or a fall
When to seek urgent care instead. Some symptoms need immediate medical attention rather than a chiropractic appointment - including loss of bowel or bladder control, progressive weakness in a limb, numbness in the groin or inner thighs, severe pain following significant trauma, or pain accompanied by fever or unexplained weight loss. If you are experiencing any of these, please contact your physician or go to an emergency department.
