Auto Accident Injury Care

The insurance company moves fast. Your symptoms often do not. Getting evaluated early protects both your recovery and your record.

Why "I Feel Fine" Is Not the Same as Uninjured

Collisions load the spine and soft tissues in ways daily life never does, and the body's immediate response masks it. Adrenaline suppresses pain for hours. Inflammation in the injured tissue takes a day or two to build. The result is that a substantial number of people walk away from a crash feeling shaken but essentially fine, and are considerably worse by the third morning.

Damage does not track neatly with vehicle damage either. Meaningful soft-tissue injuries occur regularly in low-speed impacts where the car needed little more than a bumper. What matters is how the forces travelled through your body.

What We Treat After a Collision

Whiplash

The most common auto-accident injury. Neck pain, stiffness and sharply reduced rotation, often with headaches.

Back injuries

Low-back and mid-back strains, joint injuries and disc irritation from the impact and the bracing that preceded it.

Post-traumatic headaches

Very common after collisions, frequently originating in the upper neck rather than the head itself.

Shoulder injuries

Seat belts save lives and also load the shoulder hard. Shoulder pain after a crash deserves proper assessment.

Nerve symptoms

Numbness, tingling or weakness into an arm or leg needs prompt evaluation and changes the treatment plan.

Delayed-onset pain

Symptoms that surface days or weeks later are normal, not suspicious - and they are still connected to the collision.

What to Do After an Accident

Rule out emergencies first

If there is any question of serious injury - head injury, loss of consciousness, severe pain, numbness or weakness - go to an emergency department. Chiropractic care comes after serious injury has been excluded.

Get evaluated within a few days

Even feeling reasonably well. An early baseline exam documents your condition close to the event, which matters clinically and matters a great deal if there is a claim.

Report everything

Tell us about every symptom, including the ones that seem minor or unrelated. Symptoms not documented early are the ones most easily disputed later.

Stay consistent with care

Gaps in treatment are among the most common grounds for challenging a claim. They also slow recovery. Consistency serves you on both fronts.

We Handle the Paperwork Side

Recovering from a collision is stressful enough without becoming an administrator. We work directly with insurance carriers and, where you have one, your attorney - providing the reports, records and updates they need, without you having to coordinate any of it.

  • Thorough initial evaluation and documentation
  • Ongoing records of objective findings and functional progress
  • Direct communication with carriers and attorneys
  • Referral where imaging or another specialty is warranted

If you are unsure whether you need to be seen, call. A short conversation is usually enough to tell you.
